New general contractor order for HEBER Fördertechnik from Hager & Meisinger GmbH

With a product range of around 12,000 items, the medical technology manufacturer, Hager & Meisinger, is building a new logistics centre at its headquarters in Neuss.

MEISINGER, as the brand name suggests, is firmly rooted in the Rhine-Ruhr region while being internationally oriented at the same time.

Sales partners in more than 100 countries make MEISINGER a global player in medical technology.

At the beginning of the year, HEBER Fördertechnik was awarded the contract to implement this demanding project as general contractor with overall responsibility.

To optimise the picking and material flow processes, Hager & Meisinger relies on modern and efficient ‘Pick & Pack’ workstations and a powerful AutoStore® solution realised by its project partner, Element Logic.

HEBER Fördertechnik's scope of supply also includes a warehouse management system that, in addition to the complete integration of the AutoStore® system, also includes a connection to the customer's proAlpha ERP system.

As well as the automatic areas, the overall concept also integrates manual shelving systems where orders are picked using mobile data collection devices in accordance with the ‘man to goods’ system.

Work on the building is currently well underway.

The completion and go-live are planned for spring 2021.
